About Bash

BASH stands for Bel Air Senior High Ministries. That name has been around for about as long as the church. BASH is a youth ministry committed to connecting students with Jesus. Many students have different reasons for why they show up. It might simply be because parents drop them off. It might also be because they grew up here or they got brought by there friends. Whatever the reason they come we are stoked when they are here.

BASH is a relational ministry. Everything we do has that as a goal. Each year we do many trips and events where relationships can foster and grow. In the fall we head out to Palm Springs to connect with each other and provide a framework of relationships for the beginning of the school year. In the winter we head up to Forest home for a weekend in the snow and a chance to connect with God in the middle of the school year. In the spring we take a service trip to Mexico where everything students have learned throughout the year is put into practice. In the summer we spend a week on a great houseboat trip relaxing away from our busy lives.

Volunteer leaders get involved with BASH because they feel called to reach out to students. Volunteers give much of their time and money to the youth ministry because they believe in what they are teaching. Almost every volunteer is a small group leader. It is through these Core Groups that some of the most growth happens in the lives of students. Weekly meetings of support, accountability, study and prayer provide faith building discipleship.

Important to remember too is that BASH is one part of Bel Air Presbyterian Church. This church is serious about reaching the city of Los Angeles. We are committed to following the vision of Bel Air and to getting students involved with the whole church.
